Ashley Gray, DVM
“I am a veterinary acupuncturist, equine sports massage therapist, small animal emergency relief veterinarian and professional barrel racing competitor.
As an equine veterinarian, I get to play a role in optimizing the performance and soundness of equine athletes. With acupuncture, I am able to help bridge the gap between traditional veterinary practice and integrative medicine, which focuses on a deeper level of nervous system and musculoskeletal functioning. It has always been my desire to help optimize performance and create whole body, functional health.
As a small animal emergency veterinarian I know that moments matter. I am grateful that this part of my career allows me to be there for people and the pets that they love, in their most critical moments.
Prior to veterinary school, I completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Communication and a second Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition. For 12 years, I have owned and operated a business focused on equine wellness and biomechanics. I am proudly a part of the 100X Equine Pro Team.
My horses and I have won and placed at Women’s Professional Rodeo Association sanctioned PRCA Rodeos, High Stakes barrel racing jackpots and barrel racing futurities over the past 14 years. Prior to focusing fully on barrel horse training, I competed in the National Reining Horse Association, with qualification the the North American Affiliate Championships in pursuit of Rookie of the Year.
Within all of my endeavors, I have learned that faith, mindset and health are the keys to unlocking a vibrant life. For this reason, it is my mission to encourage others to find what it means to live extraordinarily in the ordinary. With a sense of gratitude for life, I feel that we can find adventure, develop self value, gain strength and create a deeper belief in ourselves.”
Grady Gray, DVM
Grady Gray was raised in Las Cruces, New Mexico, on the floor of his family’s veterinary clinic. He knew that he wanted to be a surgeon as early as three years old. Grady enjoyed a childhood filled with agriculture, raising and showing horses, pigs, and goats. His passion for rodeo became evident as soon as he could swing a rope. He successfully competed in steer wrestling, calf roping and team roping. Competing at a collegiate and professional level, deepened Grady’s love for equine athletes and increased his appreciation for the critical role that veterinarians play in their soundness and performance.
After completing his undergraduate study at New Mexico State University, Grady went on to train reining performance horses and further his education by completing a Master of Science degree in Microbiology and Immunology from Colorado State University. Grady received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. To further his growth in equine sports medicine, surgery and internal medicine, Grady completed a general rotating internship at Idaho Equine.
After marrying Ashley in their home state of New Mexico, and servicing their clients in Arizona, the two relocated to Springtown, Texas. Grady is now building his career as a traveling orthopedic surgeon and continues to share in the love for performance horses. His favorite part of veterinary medicine is the way veterinarians use their critical thinking skills, combined with creativity, to find the best options to treat their patients.
Grady and Ashley welcomed their daughter Lilly Rose Gray into their world of adventure in March 2023.
